RiffThrovver Seeing Antichrist touring for this album was like what I'd imagine seeing Slayer in 1985 would be like. Powerful, evil thrash the way it's meant to be done, solidifying Antichrist as one of the best currently playing this style of aggressive malevolent speed. Sinful Birth is packed with enough memorable riffs to last an entire career and I can't wait to see what debaucheries they conjure next. Favorite track: The Black Pharaoh.

It's been a long time comin', but after six long years, the follow-up to 2011's landmark debut LP, 'Forbidden World,' is finally here! Electric Assault Records presented a taste of what would become 'Sinful Birth' with the 2013 single "Burned Beyond Recognition," which saw the Swedish thrash metal militia delve deeper into Hell, on a trajectory not unlike Slayer's between 1983 and 1985. 'Sinful Birth' is truly the band's 'Hell Awaits,' perfectly mixing undeniably sinister riffs at breakneck speeds (and there's no shortage of them here) with maniacal brilliance, yet the band's signature use and understanding of melody has in no way been lost and continues to set them apart from—and above—the rest. This is the new wave of thrash metal we've all been waiting for, the second coming of the Antichrist!

This... THIS is how you revive classic and traditional metal from the 80s while making it your own. I could rant and rave for a mini novel's worth of words about why this album is just... impossibility good. I've had to retract so much because of how long winded I got.
